GLSM STUDENT RECITAL POLICIES

GENERAL INFO:

Students currently enrolled at GLSM are eligible to participate in this recital based upon the teachers’ recommendation. Performers must have a home instrument or access to an instrument for daily practice.

ATTIRE:

Dress attire
No Tennis Shoes, T-shirts or jeans

Enrollment Deadline: March 1, 2026

FEES:

Recital Enrollment Fee: $40 / Student

Late Fee of $10 if enrolled after the March 1, 2026 deadline.

Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis, so once the recital is full, no additional enrollments will be accepted.

GUESTS:

Each performer may invite up to 4 guests.

REPERTOIRE:

Elementary Level Students may perform 2 short pieces (combined 2 min. total) or 1 long piece (2 min. total)

Intermediate - Advanced Level , Students may perform 1 or 2 pieces (combined 5 minutes total)

Note: For students playing 2 instruments, 1 piece per instrument, 1 minute per piece; If Student is Intermediate - Advanced Level, then combined 5 minutes total.

Rehearsal

Mandatory Rehearsal for Performers

Students not attending the Rehearsal are not eligible to participate in this Recital.

ATTIRE:

Casual attire, although students using the pedal must bring recital shoes to the Rehearsal.

FEE:

No additional fee for the Rehearsal.

PHOTO RELEASE:

GLSM is granted permission to take photographs or videos of students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, DVD’s and other promotional materials which we create. Permission is also granted for us to copyright such photographs in its name.

INJURIES:

Performers, parents, family and legal guardians of minor children waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on the premises at Mayfield United Methodist Church, 7747 Mayfield Rd, Chesterland, OH 44026 resulting from normal activity or any other activity.
